panel about biography and i did not choose the other panelists and one of them is a biographer of mark twain and i thought oh, crap. i preach all the time as a biographer don't want-- right the 1000th book appeared let's not have another one about abe lincoln or marilyn monroe and i thought i'm going have to be nice to this guy. i started reading and i had to reevaluate biographies. then i started reading it because i had to prepare. it's great. it's teach me-- so, what is your reaction to that? i don't think there is a right answer. >> it's true. it's all in how you do it. maybe it's feeling confident enough to think you can do something that hasn't been done before and do it in a way that's interesting that people need to read another book. i feel that the time people had to read a book is so limited. we are all spending more and more time on our phones and less and less time with a book and for me to be someone who asks you to spend $28 on about sitdown and read it i better have some good to to say, so i am a novelist, i mean, i'm not as prolific at least not in terms of publishable work
