these are the markey candidates that people are -- the mar quee candidate being put up by the other party. we see republicans working to inflame people against minority religions in this country. the first amendment is first for a reason. this is a nation that has thrived and become a devout nation because we do not punish people and we do not prefer people based on how they were shut, and yet the republicans believe it is a wedge issue in the campaign that they can grab onto religious issues and push a harsh agenda because of the way they practice their faith. one thing i find astounding and frightening is that a number of republicans have stood up in recent weeks and, contrary to the founder of their party, said they favor hearings to discuss whether the 14th amendment to the constitution, the amendment that was fought in the blood of thousands of slaves and thousands of soldiers in the civil war, the was passed in the honor of the founder of the gop, abraham lincoln, now they are standing up to say that they think the 14th amendment is to be reexamined because they do not like the fact
