marla tellez is live at sausalito's marine mammal center with more. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. yeah, certainly not a bad view from the marine mammal center. as you mentioned this weekend a new exhibit opening, it's called washed ashore, plastics, sea life and art set to open on saturday. it consists of 15 sculptures of sea life. plastic bottles, glasses, flip-flops, rope, styrofoam, they make up a big turtle created here, a seal, star fish, some of the sculptures here. 15 on display. something to see. bittersweet, really. it's collected by this woman and many volunteers. joining me is angela hassle tine pozzi. we have henry the fish made up of aluminum cans, dish soap bottles. you'll give people an idea how this comes together. it starts with one scale made up of plastic stuff. >> right. i mean, if you really want to go back it starts with every piece of plastic that we pick up off the beaches has been purchased by somebody at some point. every piece of plastic that is made up of all of these is picked up off the beach. we sort them by c

marla tellez is live with the details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. this event expected to draw thousands of people. can you imagine if your home mortgage payment is cut by hundreds of dollars, even $1,000 per month or your interest rate dropped to 2% all in a day. that is the pitch here at the san jose convention center. it's called the save the dream tour. for the next six days it's in town here hosted by an organization known as the neighborhood assistance corporation of america. it claims the event gets more than half of the attendees lower mortgage payments and interest rates often on the same day. how it works is it teams up with the major lenders to approve these solutions. hundreds of staff from the loan companies are expected to be on hand here. it is a free event. it starts this morning at 8:00. and then runs through 8:00 wednesday night. so, for six days each day it's going to be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the south hall here at the san jose convention center. this is expected to draw thousands. right now you can see there is not a line.

at a fraternity house, marla tellez is live in downtown san jose. she joins us with the latest. we heard it was quite a blaze. >> reporter: actually, according to the public information officer, this has been upgraded to a four-alarm fire. mutual aid has been called in. you're going to see santa clara firefighters as well, about 90 of them. and allen is giving you a live look at a couple of ladders active spraying down. you can see all of the smoke billowing from this building. we're on south 11th street. it's the kappa sigma fraternity house. all of the streets in the area are closed off. the 35 frat member who is live here, they are all evacuated this morning, they are on the corner. you're getting a look at them now. all of these gentlemen here, all fine as you can see. but the unfortunate news is one firefighter has been taken off the fire because he burned his hand. minor injuries to his hand so. a little better news there no. serious injuries for that firefighter. his colleagues here fighting this fire the best they can. they are in the defensive mode and we're going to st
