i'm marla tellez. >> and i'm jon kelley. a lot to get to today. news out of berkeley. a controversial bake sale on the campus. it is making news not because of the selection of sweets but for the pricing structure it is using. bob redell is live at the bake sale some call racist. >> reporter: good morning. the campus republicans wanted to get a conversation going about sb 185 which would allow public universities to take race and gender into consideration during admissions. you can see it certainly got a lot of people talking with their bake sale, one that they themselves admit is racist. see if i can get this gentleman. can you scoot over quick? we want to show this. they are asking people to pay a price based on the color of their skin. these are recommended prices, they're not forcing them on anyone. the customers have to choose which race they want to align with. regardless of their actual skin color. there have been plenty of takers. looks like they're close to running out of cupcakes and cookies. some of these people are for the cause, some are against the cause.
