they ran into the courtyard marriott hotel. police are telling us through the main lobby, they lost sight of him. a live look from chopper 5, after losing sight of that individual, we are told that the suspect attempted to run out of the back of the marriott hotel. that's when one richmond police officer fired one shot at the suspect. we are told that the suspect is 22 years old. we're not being told if he is local. we're also not being told if that individual brandished that weapon at the police officer prior to the shooting but again, that shooting happened in the back of the courtyard marriott hotel, one shot. that suspect is apparently suffering from nonlife- threatening injuries. he is expected to survive. police are telling us that it is believed that initially at that extended stay hotel, there was some kind of argument between the suspect and one of the employees. we're going to stay on scene and gather more information and bring it to you as it becomes available. for now, that's the latest live from richmond. elizabeth
