at this institution for girls, ages 5-35, we met marsha.ly learned all she really wanted was a mom to call her own. if she is not adopted she will spend the rest of her life here. we sat down with ukraine's deputy head for child adoption and child rights protection. she denied that children with down's syndrome are living in adult mental institution but we told her at what we saw. they learned about the plight of ukraine's children with down's syndrome with a help of a website. it's helped american families adopt hundreds of children like her. >> we just knew it. >> they made the 6,000 mile journey to the ukraine. >> we just knew the journey we were on is what we were supposed to zblb what was it like when she entered? >> it was exactly what i thought. >> they spent 32 days in ukraine with their new daughter which they renamed mia. >> then finally, they walked out of her orphanage, hand in hand, as she looked back one time for the life she was leaving behind. it was time to make the long journey home to utah. >> we visited one month later.
