yesterday's storm brought blizzard conditions to marshfield. not only did it snow all day long, but the wind were very intense, and there was also flooding along the coast of high tide. the damage fortunately is pretty minimal here, but as of 5:00 this morning, we know parts of ocean street were still flooded. people we spoke to here yesterday, they said the snow was just relentless to the point where struggling during the storm ended up being useless. >> i know it hasn't stopped. i don't know if it will ever stop. i didn't go into work. i did shovel earlier today but i didn't look like did everything. >> jessica: as we come to see over in scituate, that's pretty much the norm during the winter storms. now, as of 5:00 this morning, there were still some crews working to clear the road over on ocean street not too far where we are right now. we are hoping to get update from town official once they begin their day in the next hour, and we will let you know as soon as we get word from them. for now live in marshfield, i'm jessica reyes, fox25 news

we have new video this hour from ocean street in marshfield from ocean street in marshfield. we shot in just a minute ago. and the road is still flooded crews are still right now. they are clearing some of the storm drains and rocks from the road we know. this morning in this area pretty minor compared what towns like marshfield and scituate have seen scituate have seen in the past. the winds were pretty intense. one man that our crews spoke to say was very nearly hit by a tree limb. >> getting ready to come out and shovel and heard a crack. a pretty good crack. an 8-inch limb hanging over my neighbor's driveway. >>reporter: there is a photo of a house on ocean street that was very nearly washed away. had significant damage from the flooding and the winds here, and this was the worst damage that our crews came across here in marshfield yesterday. now just a few minutes ago, we reached out to the director of emergency management for the town of marshfield to get an idea of progress on the cleanup and where crews are going to be focusing on today. i get more information from hi

we are 48 in marshfield. you can see mid 40's on the cape, the north shore. you head inland and worcester is in the lower 40's. a little bit colder nashua, fitchburg, orange all running close to the freezing mark this morning. so for the kids at the bus stop this morning, maybe a light jacket with most bus stops in the 40's this morning. burroughsy, warm. they're getting off the bus this afternoon. i don't think any of them will be wearing those jackets. clouds though. not a perfectly sunny day by any stretch. i think more clouds than sunshine but partly sunny skies. cold front here off to the west. a ribbon of showers preceding this front likely going to fall apart and run out of gas before it gets here. i'm not expecting widespread showers but the clouds do increase by 4:00. notice we're 50 degrees in boston. by 10:00 this morning, jumping into the upper 50's this afternoon with maybe a spot shower toward this evening down on the south coast and the cape. look at that. taunton making a run towards 60 degrees this afternoon. i don't quite think we're getting

boston, marshfield may make a run toward 50 in taunton. that southwesterly wind will keep us in the lower 50's on cape cod. very warm start to this brand new month. we will have clouds in and out throughout the day. by 3:00 this afternoon, a fair amount of clouds across the area. as that front approaches it may be able to scoop up enough moisture off the waters to our south to give a spot shower or two down along the south coast and the cape. that will be this evening. your day is pretty much dry with that chance of a spot shower in southeastern massachusetts this evening. then the front clears our area. the skies clearing out tonight. we're dropping back into the 20's to around the freezing mark by tomorrow. it's a quiet day with high pressure building in for ground hog day tomorrow. we're watching a storm coulding out of the west. by wednesday morning it is to our west pulling up more mild air. so we are going to get rain from this system. it looks like that rain could be heavy at times during the afternoon and evening hours. take a look
