jack london square. chief meteorologist bill martin is here now they look at the conditions and when we could see some relief>> reporter: a record number of acres burning in california, some of the largest wildfires ever ordered in the state and so the smoke is just everywhere, from seattle, south down to orange county, we have a fire this afternoon that blew up, it was already burning but it was not that big and then east of fresno, that thing blew up this morning and that pushed a lot of smoke our way and you combined that with the wind aloft dying down, and the smoke just sings and settles down. today's air quality was not that great. tomorrow will be a bit better and yes, there is some good news in that the prevailing wind that will begin to come more from the southwest, so i will stop this down here. you can see with the fires are burning but i wanted to point out the areas, let's see what you can pick up on, there is a low-pressure center up in here, a trough that will come through and it will take everything this way. so we are going to's the starting probably on tuesday afternoon, we are going to see
