cnn correspondent martin savidge is "outfront" tonight in evansdale, iowa.rcement's recent focus on the family? >> reporter: well, it's clear within the last 24 hours, authorities have been, i guess you could say, more aggressive in their questioning of the family. the family of lyric, this is one of the young girls that's missing, has been quite open about that fact. they say the police have at times pressured lyric's father, that's dan morrissey. and that they have questioned him at times severely saying that, we think you know more than you are saying. at one point he apparently he got up and left authorities continue to maintain that the family is completely cooperative. they show up for every interviews that requested of them. in fact today authorities asked if they could go into their home and remove computers. the family said,s that fine. if they wanted to search the house, they searched the attic of the grandmother's house. authorities maintain this family, both families, are fully cooperative here. the other element that's come out, of course, is th

that's where we find martin savidge. i want to ask you about the fleet of c-130s.od news in terms of the arsenal that firefighters can use to continue fighting these fires. >> reporter: that's right. they're able to fly again. we haven't seen them. we haven't seen them for a couple of days. they have the modular airborne fire fighting systems. it's a system that you load on board and it can put about 3,000 pounds of fire retardant. it's a very effective tool. it's good news. the other good news is they have been very aggressive here on the ground. it's those fire crews that have the fire at least 70% contained. they've had pretty good weather conditions. temperatures are down. winds have been down. humidity levels elevated. the good news is it looks like they could have it fully contained. >> what would that mean for the people who have been, remain under evacuation? >> reporter: it's a big sigh of relief. the other thing that contained does not mean the fire is out. it could have the possibility to flare up again. it's a big step in keeping the fire in check. as y

. >> martin savidge is live in colorado springs this morning. good morning, martin. >> reporter: good morning, carol. some good news this morning. this fire is 70% contained. of course, that means it's still a long way from being out. we are outside of the headquarters from where the fire has been fought ever since it's begun. but let me show you something that is nice. it's a crowd of people that have gathered. this is a daily ritual now in colorado springs, and is the people of colorado springs that are showing up and as every fire crew either returns from the line or heads out, in this case in the morning, they wave, they cheer, they salute. but most of all, they say thank you very much. you can just see there's some crews that are starting to head out. this is shift change actually. you have the night crews that were coming in. yes, they were out there fighting the fire all night long. and then there is the day crew that is starting to head out. 1,500 firefighters at the peak were out on the line. let me introduce you to somebody. this is lau
