"the tree of life" which is a small independent movie that did well, but a lot of people thought it was confusing, bizarre. the academy loved it. terrence malick did well. brad pitt is the big winner. he produced "the tree of life" and "moneyball." that's a testament to his power as an actor and producer. i think one of the big surprises in this is melissa mccarthy in "bridesmaids" for best supporting actress. i think we saw at the golden globes rick jy server vase said her character had diarrhea in a sink. it's not an academy film movie. >

greatest thing about last night and i'm a huge fan of music in movies was the award they gave to martin scorceses one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. it was an amazing night. to be sitting there on the floor meeting these people, it was just -- it was like a dream come true. i have to say thank you to you guys for allowing me to live out my dreams. >> you're doing great work. you're blowing up out there. you've got to make this movie. if spielberg has told you to make a movie, you've got to make a movie. we have to move on because we're running out of time. tell us about this movie "contraband" that is out this weekend. >> reporter: this is a big movie. i'm a huge mike wahlberg fan. the idea here is that his character is an ex-smuggler. his brother-in-law gets in a little bit of trouble, owes a lot of money to a drug lord. so he has to kind of drop his good life where he has a wife and two kids and kind of get back into the smuggling business so he can save his brother-in-law's life and his own family. the movie starts off the first 45 minutes are really, really bad. so poorly direc
