thank you for the update reyna marty. >>well time is running out robin for california's public school leaders as their work towards new safety guidelines for the new fall semester. the biggest concerns are resources school leaders are worried that they will not have enough gear and technology to give all of their students. there's also the question of accessibility to the internet but california superintendent of schools, tony thurmond is confident they've laid out a framework to identify who needs what. >>we're still you know kind of working on. >>how how. >>the tech ecosystem is going to catch up with this this hockey spike in in demand for all of these the education technology we all sort of position they'll give mobilize very quickly meaning you know we have all the data where the need is by geography by social economic it can be spilled out very quickly we already have it. >>well many districts, especially those in more rural areas are now relying on the states task force to manage and pay for those allegations. now

thank you sarah marty. >>well as bay area counties burn through their reserves through this pandemic a portion of its going to housing the homeless in hotel rooms now many counties, including san francisco and santa clara. our housing, the homeless in motels while local governments are promise reimbursements for rooms there are some concerns that there's also still a need for more rooms for the how homeless to self-isolate but those funds are becoming scarce. >>calling for us to step up or invested in safety services at the same time we've got our county executive and chief operating officer telling telling us about really for months of this. we are already facing down the 300 million dollar deficit this year all. >>so the state is now looking for a solution to homelessness by converting hotel lease agreements into purchasing deals sue project home key. in san francisco for instance, the city announced a new program, we're 200 of the homeless staying in hotels will be placed in homes by the end of the year.
