the vice president and labor secretary marty walsh are expected to announce new guidelines today. hans nichols, he learned that the vice president and labor secretary will announce new guidelines for unions. they're encouraging federal workers to unionize and make sure they learn about their rights to do so. it's interesting. there's more than, you know, 2.1 million federal workers, non-postal federal employees, i would say. only roughly 20% of them belong to a union. so part of this push is to make sure, not only that people, you know, recognize that they can unionize, but also encourage them. the new guidelines, one of them will be to require that federal agencies educate new hires on their rights to unionize. then also ensure that those existing employees have, you know, straight communication from their employers on the availability of these unions. so we'll see them lay that out today at the white house. >> also, we of course are waiting for guidelines from osha regarding covid vaccine mandates. we should anticipate them, the white house says, in the coming days. we really ap

marty walsh was on fox news earlier today, said people are not getting back in the workforce, but hee were not getting back into the workforce because of federal extended unemployment benefits he said those are gone and we haven't seen a change. >> people are still concerned about the pandemic and delta variant. people thought it was $300 benefit keeping people out of work and that wasn't the case, if it were, it would be reflected in this job report. did you see the same? >> what we did see, back when blue states kept higher rates and some red states didn't, there was a difference. red states have lower unemployment numbers than blue states. it took place in red states. nice try by him, the idea people are indifferent to the fact they are paid certain amount of money and don't make much more if they work, they ask how much do i get value, what is value of going to work over remaining on unemployment. the president has done nothing, but talk about sending money out to people, you don't have to look for work. labor secretary should talk to people at hhs and find out what he's having t
