we were talking to marty walsh for speaking on the payroll number to get his take. we are joined now by michael mckee. how would you characterize the latest number? i am looking at the ism number. it looks good. the headline number on employment, this is a hot labor market. michael: absolutely. it probably would have helped economists get closer to the number if they had seen this ism report. just a quirk of the calendar, it came out after the payrolls report. the labor market is strong. the problem is wages being demanded by workers to come back, and a lot of workers did come back. still pushing the average hourly earnings number of, and that is going to be a concern of the fed. they want to see that start to fall back. we did see the ism number a little bit of softening. inventories rise. we have to see what happens. we saw the pmi's in europe fall from their highs in the last month as the war started. that may have an impact in the u.s. that would take a little wage pressure off. kailey: jonathan ferro on the open was just talking to someone from pimco who said m
