[applause] >> now we are so happy to have our friend mayor marvin rees all the way from the united kingdom here this afternoon to give remarks. mayor rees was born and raised in bristol southwest of london. he became mayor of her stolen 2016. he said he would become the first effort directly alleged mayor of african caribbean dissent. marvin studied at the uk and here in the united states. he earned his bachelor's degree in economic history and politics with a master's degree in political theory and government. he is a university will fail in this his work for the bbc as a presenter and journalist. marvin's lifelong commitment to public service ended early on working international development at the uk's national health service. he often speaks of his heritage. his father arrived in england as a 12-year-old and his mother was of english welsh and irish heritage. most of his jamaican family live in atlanta, los angeles and maryland. mayor rees leads the global parliament at ayer so please join me in welcoming mayor marvin rees.
