and in the interest of time i'm going to start with mary here, you of course know mary madeleine but i first got to know mary back in 1992. when she was working on the reelection campaign for george w. bush and she went on to work in the w bush white house as a top adviser, president and vice president. and she's written several books and cowritten with her husband james carville of course about her books, the first one which i still love and i still have students read this book in my class , all's fair, love war and running for president which they cowrote in 1993 . after that and of course 20 years later came love war 20 years, three presidents, two daughters and a home. which is also a terrific book and she also wrote the book my daughters as well so i guess mary i'm going to start with you because of your long career in optics even going way back to the 80s when you first started going g into politics and you've seenso much , what is your perspective on women in politics, the experiences you've had haand what shape you as a woman in politics? >> before we get that hats off to bet
