mary adi, who is a legal affairs columnist from politico magazine, joins me.the first amendment works. walk us through the distinction between, it is invocation and criminal cases, and civil cases. i want to reiterate, because sometimes you see this from around, it is good, the fifth amendment, and people shouldn't invoke it, and my own personal advice to everyone out there, go talk to the authorities about a lawyer. they're so, if someone invokes the fifth, it does not mean they are guilty, i think, both in sort of a public opinion fashion, and also, and criminal law. there is a technical distinction between criminal, and civil law. can you explain? >> absolutely. often, i recommend that clients take the fifth. i do think it's an important american right. i actually think, donald trump made the right decision here. >> agreed. >> so, in a criminal case, if you take the fifth, that cannot be presented to the jury at all. there can be no reference to it. for example, if the fbi comes to question you, you take the fifth, it will not be presented to the jury in yo
