meanwhile, mary barra won bragging rights today of the chevy corvette stingray was named north american of the year. gm is also celebrating the end to the unwelcomed government motor's label. and this auto show also marks the end of chrysler as we knew it. the company is now completely owned by fiat. the company that bought a majority stake after chrysler's bankruptcy. chrysler earned some praise today. but make no mistake while the auto industry is in much better shape there are real concerns about another slowdown in u.s. sales in 2014. predictions call for an increase of less than 6%, and that's down from 7.6% that we saw in 2013, that raises the chance that auto makers will cut prices and raisin sensitive again. so while it's easy to get caught up in the hype and the glitz, detroit cannot afford to forget what made its resurrection necessary in the first place. ford ceo, alan mulally pumped new life in to ford after losing money in 2006. i spoke to him earlier. >> it has been the number vehicle of cars and truck for 32 years, and we announced our latest f-150, with exco boost engine
