here to discuss parenting expert and mom of three stefanie weis and mary beth hicks author of teachable mother of four. nice to see both of you this morning. welcome to the show. first of all get your thoughts generally about the studies. stefanie, what did you make of this. >> i do believe that children should be learning as early as possible so at 10 years old, kids are going through pursuant earlier and i think that learning about it either at school or at home both is as early as possible is really important. >> you come down -- i sort of set on that same side which said occasion is power. knowledge is power. what harm can come from that but it's how it's delivered which can be a problem, right? >> that's exactly right. i totally agree with stefanie. my four children we started talking about issues around sex when i was still having babies and the older ones were five, six and seven. it's not when it's who. what's most important to me is that we wouldn't want to it implement new programs that further erode parental involvement in this. so, if it's coming to kids through the schools.
