i'm mary bubala. kai is off today. we'll begin with breaking news. sky eye chopper 13 is over the area. captain mike. >> it happened about 20 minutes ago, mary. we are over the south river near the lee annapolis airport. this is just west of route two. this airplane has crashed into the water. it is believed to be a small, single-engine style airplane. we do know that the pilot that remained with the aircraft when it went into the water has been rescued. and is at a nearby marina. we are told that the pilot's injuries are minor at this time. he may even refuse medical treatment, we are told. so not very fortunate. but we have a significant presence of natural resources police, the coast guard, and anne arundel county police and fire both along the route 2 bridge here in annapolis. and at the marina, which is adjacent to it. at this point, they are content just to mark the location of the airplane which is now sunk. you can see the natural resources boat. they're actually just looking to hook a buoy to it. but at this point, no other injuries we know o
