the first point i would like to make is i really have appreciated noe valley coffee and mary carr's spirit of entrepreneurship and i was thrilled to see the permit on her window to expand this business. i can go on and on about the struggles of 21st street but i'm sure you are well aware. what i would like to address is some of the opposition i've heard. i guess my opinion is, one i work for public health and i worked for a long time in emeryville, very close to a coffee roaster and you wouldn't have known it. until a couple years in i walked by and realized it was one i had no idea. there was no noxious smell. as a public health professional i would be worried about particulates in our community, in our neighborhood impacting a preschool down the street. however, i think in support of the application i have to understand that a they are going to abide by the things they are saying their going to do, b that the regulatory board we have to supervise air quality if they are meeting the regulations i feel like i need to support that. and c, i think that there is a fine line between supporting
