maryann favro has more on the frustrated drivers and the illegal sideshows. >> reporter: screeching carsnning in circles, driving dangerously close to pedestrians. a sideshow near the highway 87 santa theresa boulevard in san jose forced the frustrated drivers to sit in their cars and wait. >> i would chase him, because i want to go home. >> reporter: most found these stunts, and spinning more annoying than impressive. >> it is a waste of time. if you want to do this, to each his own, but don't hold up other people. >> as the delays grew, so did the frustration. >> i have to get to work. >> reporter: and when the san jose police showed up, the drivers took off. this is not the only sideshow going on, there was another one in front of the great america in santa clara. and these tire marks in terra bella avenue were caused by cars in mountainview, and police say about 100 vehicles took off when the officers arrived, and this is at least four south bay sideshows in one night. for those trapped in the cars listening to the deafening screeching, this is one show they hope to never see again.
