here's all the activity we're really following generally south of town, southern maryland. this has been a pretty big storm moving off north and east. look at all the lightning around north beach. we don't see hail but heavy rain, rainfall rates 1 to 2- inch per hour headed away from dunkirk and still moderate rain in huntington. how much lightning? 107 strikes in the last 10 minutes between north beach and south of huntington. back south around goldvein west of fredericksburg, moderate rain down stafford up toward quantico and a little heavy storm toward la plata. we'll zoom in a little bit. this storm was going to move off north and east by 8:46 at bell fair and quantico at 8:29. 10:12 arrival time in town. if the nats don't get things done in a timely fashion, we could see a shower before the game is over with. bus stop temperatures in the 70s and a shower is possible on your thursday morning. yellow weather alert thursday, the morning and the evening commute could both be affected with showers and storms. in fact, by 10:00 tonight most of the activity is still south of
