ktvu's matt keller has more. matt, what have you learned? >> reporter: we are moments away from another briefing here. just outside the perimeter of the crime scene. we are waiting on an update from chp. about of minutes ago they told me two officers were shot. a van from the coroner's office is here. officers say the scene is still unsecured. they are going door to door in the crime scene area. we saw an armor vehicle come through in the past 30 minutes. i did see two women from a preschool. there is a lock down there. they also told me they heard of the first initial shooting then another 50 or so gunshots. there are other schools in the area. i just spoke with the sheriff's spokesperson anarchy told me they are going into all the schools and putting every child -- and told me they are putting every child on a bus. each of those five schools within this perimeter, including the junior high, preschool, elementary school, they are loading those children on a bus and they are going to be taking them to the county building where they are going

matt cavanaugh of cmz trading steps in now for chart talk. good morning matt. shares of dreamworks fell about 4% yesterday because the studio is delaying the release of a movie called "mr. peabody & sherman." what do you think about this stock? > > this is a stock that is going to fluctuate based on what kind of movies they have in the pipeline, what they have going on. back in january 2010 it was all the way up to $40. it's had kind of a rough go. shelving the one movie, pushing back "mr. peabody & sherman," i think is a big sign. i see support for the stock around $16, so if you want to get in, maybe do a little bottom fishing, that is where i would do it. i would limit my losses to the $16 range. but this stock is probably one that is not going to move too much in the interim unless some other news comes out. > and fans, that movie will come out in november, we are told. moving on to coinstar, which comes out with earnings after the close, what do you see in the charts on this one matt? > > this is a really interesting play. the stock has had a nice little r

here for a look at the market, matt shapiro, president of mws capital. good morning matt. it wasn't too long ago you were on the show, and you were talking about the s&p 500 going to 1600. that doesn't seem so out of the picture now. are you sticking with that? > > absolutely. the underpinnings of the market, and i think what 2013 is going to become known for, is a shift in embracing again equities after years of such high anxiety. i have come across a chart the shows how high the market can go after these extreme periods where there has been a rush into fixed income, and i think we are kind of unwinding that. that is one of the big underpinnings, along with, of course, a good economic recovery and good corporate earnings. > what do you think about a recent call someone made saying that the s&p could go to 1700 this year. is it possible? > > i would hope so. but that is going to be tough. i am looking at the 1600 level. but remember the '80s and '90s, when the s&p 500 was 100. then it went to 300, then it went, of course, to 1500 in 2000. but think about it, 12 years later

ktvu's matt keller is there in the area. matt, can you tell us what you found. >> yeah.sperson who is handling media for this crime scene right now told me that two santa cruz police officers have been shot. one suspect has been shot. we were told that these happened at two different shooting scenes. one was at a house and the second scene was on doyle. there is a whole foods market in that area with an apartment complex across the street. i was told the whole foods did close down. the first shooting took place at the apartment complex across the street from the whole foods. i am told several people with the district attorney's office are on the scene. we do not have confirmation on the extent of the injuries to the officers and the suspect. this is obviously a major crime scene. we have deputies from the santa cruz county sheriff's office as well. i was told that the chp is going to be dealing with the media. they were the first to give us a quick update on the actual shootings itself. again, told us that two santa cruz police officers have been shot and one suspect has
