matt: welcome to bloomberg markets. i am matt miller. on this monday, investors are searching for direction. let's get a quick check of where markets are headed. right now, about the s&p by about 0.3%. big, big stocks hitting record high. the biggest one of all is a record. the u.s. 10-year yield rising just a bit as investors sell off a little of the debt. 3.6985 is the level they are. we are talking about $1 trillion of treasury issuance in just a moment. the bloomberg dollar index off a little at 1240. crude is only $1.30 up to $73.03. another one million barrel per day cut in july. the stock sitting at a record highs the company begins its worldwide developer conference, this hour we are looking at a company worth a little more than $2.8 trillion. katie: heading toward that $3 trillion mark. apple is at a record high. you still have the s&p 500 flirting with a bull market, but still below its own record high. if you rewind back to the very start of 2022, both apple and the s&p 500 hit the record highs on the same exact day. but now,

matt: and i am matt miller. we are seeing a little bit of a drop in stocks right now. not much, really. just a bit of a fade to the rally that we've been watching, down about 0.1% at 4344. udc investors buying bonds, may be looking for safety and government debt. we do see the yield coming down. again, it is only marginal. still looking at 4.73. this is the two-year yield. we see similar action on the longer end of the curve. the u.s. dollar index is down about 0.1%, not a lot of action there. at oil, we see wti still holding below $70 per barrel. there is a lot of geopolitical news right now. it looks like market participants to some extent are trying to wait it out and see which end is up. jon: watching the headlines for now, moving money into energy stocks. then, we have specific corporate stories we are tracking. quarterly results. the stock drop looks dramatic. we are down 10%. but remember, this particular stock, they have been red-hot recently. the fact that the profit picture in the current quarter played a role here. pfizer under pressure throughout the tradin

matt: let's take a quick look at what's going on in the markets.e point, we had hit a 52 week high on the s&p 500. we are not far away from that now. if we get to 4305.2 by the close, that's a one-year year high on the s&p 500. we're looking at a 10 year yield at 373 which is basically in the range we been trading since the middle of may. the bloomberg dollar index is barely changed. nymex crude is off another $.50 per barrel. if you look at that chart over the last year, it just gets lower and lower and you can understand why the saudi's are giving us surprised supply cuts. jon: 2022 was the year for energy stocks less so for tech in 2023, the exact opposite. we continue to see excitement in tesla shares, 11 days of gains for the electric vehicle maker. gm is going for the ride today after that new partnership between the companies. they will test their charging network following in the for decision a couple of weeks ago. we will have more on that with an industry analyst coming up and staying with technology, we been watching the ai boom this yea
