so matt ackland went to find several council members today to ask them about it, matt is in northwest. what did you find out? >> all i have is 50 cents in my hands, that won't be enough to park. it will cost 2.30 an hour. and whenever you raise fees in the city, well, there are a lot of people who simply don't like it, and it seems like that's been happening a lot in the district lately. so the mayor said blame it on the council. so went to the transportation committee, and they say there is a reason that they need to hike the fare. so let's show you those, we take you to the graphic now. so expecting six to $10 million a year to be raised with these extra feast, they see money is really needed because it will go straight to metro, to help and in funding all of those repairs. it will also encourage more turn-around for parking we're told that many people, especially downtown, they like to park for work, and then come out every hour or two, and feed the meter, and because it is so cheap, to feed the meter these days, that they are getting a cheaper price, instead of parking and garages
