a judge lashed out at brown for missing three court appointed pretrial phone check ins. fox 5's matt acklin has the story. >> former chairman of the council, kwame brown, was greeted by reporters and photographers as he walked into the federal courthouse and once again, as he left, brown seemed surprised by all of the attention. >> did you say anything? >> all these reporters are here. that's pretty disturbing. >> it was judge richard leon who seemed most disturbed. leon wanted to know why his presentencing orders were not being followed. what do you have to say about your conduct, he asked? brown apologized for wasting the court's time because he said he knew the importance of calling in. but when brown offered reasons why he didn't think he was violating the rules, leon continued to scold him. then ordered brown to check in with court officials in person each week. no longer by phone, and then added an overnight home curfew from 11:00 p.m. until 6:30 in the morning. >> that's all i could say. >> few words outside court from brown's attorney, fred cook. brown is just about a month a
