. >> laron campbell was arrested last night, after breaking out of jail a week ago. matt keller is live in san jose, with what we know this morning. matt. >> reporter: good morning, this was huge for the sheriff's department. a lot of relief. they finally got one of those escaped inmates back behind bars here at the santa clara county main jail, where he belongs. they sent out a dramatic tweet overnight. you can see laron campbell's picture with the word "captured" stamped on top of it. he was arresested last night without incident. a lot of law enforcement officers seen coming out of an apartment complex on james donlon boulevard. >> you're sitting outside and see a whole bunch of cop cars and officers, like in full gear, it is a little nerve-racking. >> reporter: meanwhile, one more escaped inmate remains on the run. rogelio chavez, they were in east san jose yesterday, hitting what they call high value targets and associates of chavez. authorities feel like they're close, missing him at the days inn, and arrested emily helping chavez after he escaped. >>> new this morn

matt keller is live in san jose with new information. >> we learned they received a tip monday that campbell was in antioch. they called the u.s. marshal's service. they surveilled the house and last night they went in and captured him. like many people in trouble, campbell turned to family for help. the escaped inmate was captured by u.s. marshals at his sister's apartment in and ok late last night. neighbors witnessed the raid. >> kind of scary because you don't really expect that kind of stuff to happen and when you're just zuting outside and see a whole bunch of cop cars and officers in full gear. it's a little never wracking. >> reporter: campbell literally fell from the sky into the lands of law enforcement. >> upon entering the residents they determined that campbell was hiding in the attic. and campbell then crashed through the ceiling on to the floor where the marshall's service and antioch police took him into custody spout further incident. >> reporter: he was taken back and booked into the santa clara jail. his sister, 24-year-old alexander, was arrested for harboring a fugitive.
