matt delucia has been monitoring all of the information coming out of saint-denis. what's happened in the last 30 minutes? >> a lot has been going on as you mentioned. the a.p. reporting word from a ghost spokesperson who is saying that the raid on the apartment building is over. that's where the focus was all morning. an apartment where police believed that the mastermind of the attacks was hiding. now armed security officers have started fanning out around saint-denis and also escorted children and others from the scene. so take a look at this live picture. this is just north of paris. watching the live feeds we can see in the distance a lot of uniformed police officers still out there at the scene as this is all winding down. i've also seen them get close to a church, they had riot gear there, heavy protection. this is all in the past 30 minutes. as of now seven people are under arrest. two are dead including a woman who blew herself up earlier this morning as the raids began. we got some new video from nbc news, it shows police going through the streets of this

matt delucia is live in norristown with how the pennsylvania supreme court race is playing out. tell us more about this. >> reporter: tracy, right now people are talking about the next president, well that election is next year. for now though, we have the state supreme court election that's happening today along with many others, and that of course is going to have much bigger impact only your daily life for some time as you mentioned. and of course that is one of the big races that people will look at today. voters will be leekting three justices to fill vacant spots on the pennsylvania supreme court. one political analyst i spoke with call this is the most important rails of this election. also the supreme court race will decide how it is made up politically in terms of more democrats or republicans. and you also have the mayor's race in philadelphia that people will be watching and also here in montgomery county, who will win the seat for district attorney. again, all roles with far reaching impact on your daily life. >> you really hope that the right thing is done by people

matt delucia is live in hatfield. people in the neighborhood where this happened are shocked and very upset. >> reporter: very upset, chris, especially because several families in that neighborhood have children about the same age as the victim. they believe that this could have happened to anyone. here is a look at the suspect, oscar rivera herrera, police say he broke into the home at the apartments early monday morning, he got into bed with a 6-year-old girl, her 11-year-old brother wakes up, sees this man in the bed naked. he ran and got his parents who called 911. the children's stepfather held rivera herrera at knife point. according to the affidavit he tried to get away, pleading, kill me, kill me or let me go. the montgomery county d.a. says the girl was assaulted and neighbors want justice. >> it was like just traumatizing after we heard that because my son's 5 and she was 6. so i couldn't even imagine somebody doing that to a little kid. >> can't believe it. there's a lot of things that go on there but this

matt delucia is live in norristown. matt, you talked with some people in montgomery county. some of whom are planning to get out and vote. right? >> reporter: and there is a big race here in montgomery county, the district attorney's race is happening, so that is the something people are looking at. but usually when you have these off-year municipal elections the turnout is usually low. it doesn't make them less important. and in fact, the people who are elected today will have an impact on courts, on schools, crime fighting efforts all of which happen locally. we went around yesterday, you see campaign signs that are still up around the area here. and one political expert i spoke with yesterday thinks that we could see around 20 to 25% turnout in pennsylvania today which of course is not great but these votes today will have a big impact. as of yesterday pennsylvania has a little over 8 million registered voters, one million reside in pennsylvania. i spoke with someone close to the races, a democratic committee man in villanova. no matter who you vote for do a little resear

matt delucia is live in center city. matt, what will the mayor-elect be focusing on now? >> reporter: there will be a lot on hills plate. that is for sure. the front page of the "daily news" says he is smiling now but the mayor-elect is facing a mountain of work. look at some video from his victory party last night where he was smiling quite a bit. this is at the national museum of jewish history. he got 85% of the vote against melissa murray bailey's 13%. the new mayor-elect talked about breaking the cycle of poverty. i spoke with a political analyst who cities mayor nutter laid good ground work putting the city on the global stage but with getting funding for schools and naming a new police commissioner, this will not be an easy term at all. >> now we've got to tackle these difficult issues in a way that jim kenny has relationships w unions, with city council members that mayor nutter did not have as positive relationships as clark. i think jim kenny dutz and that's going to be critical to moving some of these issues forward for the betterment of the city. >> reporter:

matt delucia, nbc 10 news. >> thank you.flags are flying at half-staff in honor after police officer killed in the line of duty in western pennsylvania. sinclair township officer lloyd reed was responding to a domestic call. the 20-year veteran did identify himself as a police officer before he was shot. he was taken to the hospital where he died. ray shetler jr. is charged with homicide. he ran after the shooting and was arrested about six hours later. shetler was shot in the shoulder. police in greensburg will release new information. a wake will be thursday and his funeral on friday. >>> a fire company in delaware county is mourning one of its own. scott jones died in a two-car crash in edgemont saturday morning. scott was a firefighter and emt with the new town scare fire company for five years. he also served as a marine and is a firefighter in aspen and media. >> rookie jaleel okafor tweeted apologies for a string of off court bad behavior. since thursday we learned of three incidents, yesterday "the philadelphia inqui

matt delucia is live at northeast philadelphia airport with details on what we have learned overnight. you have been reviewing radio transmissions from the police shortly after it went down. >> reporter: from that audio, we can hear the frantic search for survivors shortly after that crash. we know the plane took off at about 7:00 last fight. it was on the way to new hampshire. it never made it. take a look at some of these images we got from last night where we could sigh what appears to be a piece of that plane found in the atlantic atlantic ocean him we know a plan's office was found in breezy point. vrths have been finding more and more pieces of that plane. calls came in shortly before 8:00. it wasn't long before that debris was spotted. they were going over the radio calls. a frantic search out there, indeed, plenty of questions this morning, including how many people were on that plane and what connections they had to this area because of the fact that that plane took off at 7:00. we are trying to get that audio for you when we see you again at 5:00. matt delucia, nbc 10 news.

matt delucia is live at the greater philadelphia expo center in oaks to tell us what is in store. matt, take it away. >> reporter: tracy, it takes a few days to get everything ready and the work is going on inside the expo center. they started doing all of that work yesterday. take a look at some video from yesterday when we were inside there as they were getting all of the lighting ready. it look likes a lot of empty boxes and floor space but that's quickly changing. quite a bit of work to get this place ready for more than 1,000 dogs and more than 100 breeds. crews are here getting the lighting ready and later today the bleachers and carpeting goes in. the show is saturday and sunday, it's run by the kennel club of philadelphia but goes out to a national audience thanksgiving morning. the show has been here in the area for 14 years, trying to impress the crowd and the event and all of the people here behind the scenes are trying to get everything ready for you to see. >> i think we're going to have about 1800 dogs saturday. maybe more. you have to mentally prepare yourself becaus

matt delucia is live on scene. matt, bring us up to date. >> reporter: a few minutes ago we saw the coroner's van, you see it down in the distance that's the house with the christmas lights where police have been since before midnight. this is the 100 block of diamond street. here's what we know. the shooting happened just before midnight. we know of at least one victim here, and we're working to get confirmation on anyone else. this has been an ongoing case here throughout the night and the early morning hours. police have been shuttling to and from the scene. we'll come back live, you can see there is a little bit of activity in front of the house down the street here, again we've been told the d.a.'s office is involved. and of course that is generally done for more serious crimes. at this point we have not received word of an arrest. i did speak with a neighbor who lives in the neighborhood. he didn't hear any of the gun shots but at this point he's telling me that this is just a terrible situation out here, i'm
