matt delucia looking at the ways people are remembering the victims. start with katy zachary. live at northeast detectives. there was activity there early this morning. tell us more about that. >> reporter: overnight and early this morning there was activity here at north east detectives. thp is where the investigation has led police in recent hours. now, we know earlier overnight, philadelphia police were at this home on the 800 block of mcgee street. the people listed at that address are friends with cosmo dinardo on social media and also learned police questioning someone in connection with the four kux county murders. latest information comes just a few hours after cosmo dinardo confessed to participating in the murders of four missing men. source close to the investigation says dinardo shot more than one man, burned two of them and buried all of them on his parents farm. a person with firsthand knowledge of the confession told the associated press that dinar toe shot the men because he felt sheeted or threatened during several drug transactions. that person went on to say

nbc 10 matt delucia lines us live from police headquarters. matt, it's been an emotional scene. >> reporter: that's rights: family members were emotional arriving at the scene earlier this morning. some of them even trying to cross the police tape to get to the victims who were still in the pickup truck. this happened just after midnight on 3500 block of north lauren street in philadelphia. officers found two gunshot victims both women in the front of that pickup truck. the victims are 28 and 19 years old. the truck was running and parked along a curb at the time. police tell us that both of the women were shot several times in the head, neck, and torso. they were pronounced dead at the scene. witnesses say that the shooter or shooters were in a vehicle at the time. police think this very well could be a drive by shooting. as of now, police don't know what the motive if or if both of these women were the intended targets. homicide detectives have been talking with some of the answer withes here at police headquarters. as of right now, no arrest

matt delucia joins us live in fishtown. what are the roads impacted. walk us through that. >> reporter: well, we're on frankford avenue right now between tompson and shack mackson street. also a couple of homes in this area with flood damage in the basement because of this water main break that happened overnight a little before 1:00 this morning. philadelphia water department says this is an eight inch main that broke. not one of the wbiggest mains i the city, but big enough to cause problems when they break. about a dozen properties around here don't have water service. the bigger impact to the area is going to be closures. road closures. water department is coming back here later this morning to begin the repairs. take another live look here. you can see the impact of the closures to this area. frankford avenue closed from girard to tompson. shack mackson street is closed. this is a few block radius in this general area shutdown because of all this right now. the route five buses detoured because of this. the water department says these repairs coul

matt delucia joins us live from northwest detectives. people living in germantown say this is part of a bigger problem. explain. >> reporter: right. there have been several shootings in that germantown area over the past few weeks. of that police are taking notice and trying to see if there's a connection. start with first shooting that happened overnight. on the 5200 block. xd 19-year-old woman was shot in the foot. philadelphia police don't know if she was the intended target here. there were a few shell cases found in the spot. while police were on the scene that they heard gunshots two blocks away. this just before 1:00 on the 500 block of germantown. police found 22-year-old woman lying on the sidewalk shot in the back. she was rushed to temple in critical condition. she is expected to survive. einstein medical center says they got a 25-year-old man who showed up with a gunshot to the back. he is stable right now. police found more than 30 shell casings in that spot there on the 5,000 block. some bullets hit businesses there. police

. >> police say they have never seen anything like this before matt delucia joins us live. >> reporter: a different kind of story. a good deed gone wrong. a cab driver trying to help out and he gets his car stolen. the cab driver said he picked up a fare. he was driving a woman to sugar house casino. she wanted to stop to get water. the cabbie opened the door to help her. with the drivers seat empty, the woman got in and took off. the police found the cab. the cab thief was inside, but not the only one. there was a 23-year-old woman and 10-month-old baby in the back. the thief was picking up passengers. the mom with her baby had no idea the cab was stolen. >> pretty unusual job to steal a cab and start picking up passengers like you are a cab driver. i don't think i have seen anything like that before. it's definitely a bizarre story. >> reporter: the real cab driver you can see there was not injured. again, he was being nice trying to help this woman. detectives spoke with him and the mother who rode in the stolen cab. it's unclear if the cab thief was under the influence of anything.

matt delucia is live with the details on what seems to be a wild night. matt, this is bizarre. >> reporter: police are calling this a very unusual situation they had to deal with overnight. the taxi driver was trying to do something nice for this woman and then in return, he gets his car stolen. this happened around midnight at broad and hunting park. he picked up fare, driving the woman to a casino when she wants to stop for water. he helped her out the door. with the driver's seat empty, the woman got in the car and took off. police caught up with her about a half hour later. the 65-year-old was inside, but not the only one in there. there was a 23-year-old woman and 10-month-old baby in the backseat. yes, the thief was picking up passengers. >> they just were being innocent. they thought they were getting a ride by a cab. they didn't realize the driver of the cab just stole the cab minutes before. an unusual job. a happy ending. >> reporter: the real cab driver was not injured. detectives were able to speak with him overnight. also, the mother who rode

matt delucia is live at headquarters with breaking details. >> reporter: at this point, there have been no arrests in this case. family members showed up to the scene quite distraught. trying to see their victims there, but some of them tried to cross the police tape to get to those victims. still in the running pickup truck. take a look at video here from little bit earlier this morning. happened just after midnight on the 3500 block of north lauren street in north philadelphia. officers found two gunshot victims. both women in the front of a pickup truck. the victims are 28 and 19 years old. the truck was running and parked along side a curb. police tell us both women were shot several times in the head, neck, torso. pronounced dead at the scene. witnesses say that the shooter or shooters, could be more than bun here, were in a vehicle at the time. police think this very well could be a drive by. police don't know what the motive is or if both of these women were the intended targets of this shooting. homicide detectives have been talking with some of those witnesses here at police he

. >> matt delucia live on the scene. creating a mess for commuters and homeowners. >> reporter: and there is quite a mess out here on the roadway, vai and tracey. along frankford avenue. see some of that buckling there in the center of the road that has to be fixed later on this morning. also ha had a couple of homes with flood damage in the basement. happened a little before 1:00 this morning. on frankford avenue where it meets up with tompson and shackamaxon street. philadelphia water department tells us this is eight inch main that broke. caused quite a bit of problems here. we are told about a dozen properties in this area do not have water service. the bigger impact of the area is going to be these road closures. water department says they're going to be coming back here later on this morning to begin the repairs to this area. as we take another live look here. see frankford avenue closed from girard to tompson. shackamaxon street is closed. tompson street is closed from le leopard to frankford. trut 5 bus is detour
