hollow justice for a rally on behalf of -- taylor were to mayoral candidates as well as supervisor matt dorsey. they join members of the aap i community to voice their opposition to a judges sentence for her attacker dowell -- daniel cowichan pled guilty to stabbing taylor in june 2021 and it was an attack all caught on surveillance. the judge handed down a 10 year suspended prison sentence and years probation. the district attorney and those gathered rallied for the victim saying this is not justice. >> when we see our seniors violently attacked and there is no actual consequences we will come together and we will stand against what is happening. >> that rally was interrupted by another group that accused the district attorney of fighting the case. >> the attorney applauded the judge for taking his mental state into consideration. she also told me she appreciated the sentence the judge imposed and also the supervision which would provide treatment for mentor -- mental health. he also played guilty to a prior charge for burglary. it was a crime he was waiting to be charged for when he attacked

when that went on as an amendment by the board of supervisors, the initial author of the bill, matt dorsey supervisor, withdrew his support, as did mayor london breed, saying, no, this isn't what we said. we said we were going to get the new cops. we weren't going to make it contingent on raising taxes or new taxes because they said that probably won't happen. okay so that's one police measure. the second one is the proposition e, which would change the rules in san francisco. so basically sidestep the police commission's rules that say on privacy, for example, this would allow for more cameras out there, license plate readers. it would allow for the police to start chasing suspects if they try to get away, rather than let them go. right now, there's a big debate about whether police should engage in car chases. if they see somebody committing a crime, there's a question about whether that's safe for other people on the streets, right? this would allow more of that. so it's interesting to see the police staffing that's at about a 5050. okay. it could go either way. the police procedures, t
