was interested to see what matt eyles said about research, because that is such a big thing. that struck me as far more candid than you would expect from somebody that has been in the industry. christopher: the drug companies, they don't even actually make the argument now that this drug costs us x to build it. what they are saying is these prices are paying for all of our failures to bring the drug to misses and theh near misses and the duds. each drug on the market is carrying the load for all of those. matt has his point of view as well. susan: in this current debate in washington, who are the bad guys, and are there good guys? jayne: it is funny. we got around this, but i find it funny that he is the insurance industry but they are also the pbm industry, the pharmacy benefit managers. now that aetna and cvs have merged, you don't have -- everybody is also in that business, so it is hard to point fingers because you are pointing fingers at yourself in many cases. o'donnell from usa today and christopher nolan from the washington post, and our ofversation was matt eylesca's health insurance plan. federal courts are about to end with the first round of arguments to be heard in a texas case in july. what could shift as a result of court action? these things are going to take their time winding their way through the courts. it could end up somehow before the supreme court again. you have to wager, what is going to be the potential outcome? justice roberts did uphold the aca once. is he inclined to reverse himself and say the aca should not be thrown up? but i amat unlikely, not a court watcher, i am more of a health care person. but the other thing that's going to go on is that process is winding its way along as an election. people sail the time, elections have consequences. if the republicans lose more seats in congress and the upcoming 2020 cycle while trump is saying we need to kill the aca debtor than dead, you are going to see congress say, forget it, this is a done deal, the aca is here to stay. susan: we still have a year and a half until electi
