to help tenants improve their credit score if they pay rent on time, san francisco assemblyman matt haney says ab 2747 would require landlords to give tenants the option to report their on time rent history to a credit bureau. the bill is an extension of another one passed in 2020 that gives the option to report positive rent payments to those living in subsidized housing requires that landlords in medium and larger buildings give at least the option for a tenant to enroll in positive credit reporting so that when they pay their rent on time, it helps their credit score. the proposed legislation would apply to renters living in a building with 15 or more units. haney says the bill benefits landlords, too, because they would get a clearer idea of the rent payment history. a potential new tenant 11 weeks after the collapse of the francis scott key bridge, the port of baltimore is now operating at full capacity. >> the impact of the port's closure has been felt nationwide. last year, the port handled more than $80 billion worth of international cargo, an estimated 52 million tons of product.
