we're going to check in with abc 7 news reporter matt keller live in menlo park right now. is is not what people who hold facebook stock want to hear, matt. >> yeah. a lot of money overnight in the stock market. facebook used to be a big thumb's up with investors, but this morning it's a big thumb's down. the stock plunging after the earnings report came out yesterday. so how bad was it? well, it was really bad for a lot of people. the stock was down 24% at one point in afterhours trading shedding about $144 billion in value. that's rebounded a little bit. that means ceo mark zuckerberg took a big personal hit losing $16.8 billion in stock value at that time. that's about a fifth of his net worth. facebook's user base and revenue grew more slowly than expected in the second quarter as the menlo park based company dealt with privacy issues and an executive expects revenue growth to slow down in the next couple quarters. good news for facebook, the company still earned $5.1 billion in profit, up 31% from the year before. facebook also revealed instagram has more than a billion

matt keller is live for us. so what is going on? >> reporter: neighbors are wondering what happened here. early this morning they heard a lot of noise, a lot of yelling. and now they have a lot of questions about what took place. here is what we do know. check out this surveillance video that we got this morning from a security company here near east poplar. at 6:04, you see a truck pull up on to the sidewalk and then you see law enforcement come into view. this was in front of the taroria. law enforcement is not providing any information. they assisted in a multijurisdictional criminal investigation that included certainly and arrest warrants at a number of locations within san mateo. one neighbor we spoke to told us what she heard. san mateo police say no shots were fired. they were actually flash bangs used as a distractionary device. into word on how many arrests were made, but people here said they heard what was taking place, they heard someone was yelling that they had a warrant for someone and that they were being arrested.

say the gambling parlors have triggered violent crimes across the city and abc 7 news reporter matt kellers live in san jose. matt? >> hi, jessica. yeah, police say these gambling operations are a big problem for people here in santa rosa and what you see on the outside isn't necessarily what's happening on the inside. >> one was a pc repair business, the other one was a hair and nail salon. once you get past the partition in the front of these businesses it was a full-blown casino. >> reporter: and here's a map of the location of the seven different businesses that were raided. an eighth had a penal code inspection. 46 gambling or gaming devices were seized, some were casino-style slot machines. prosecutors and police claim the illegal gaming created problems for the neighborhood and triggered violent crimes. >> when we are able to successfully take down one of these businesses, it does have a positive ripple effect on the community and it does reduce crimes in those areas and that's why we continually and proactively go after these groups that are running these types of illegal operation

matt keller is in san jose for us this morning. hi matt. >> reporter: good morning jessica and reggie. cal fire trucks moved up and they're keeping an eye on the foothills. very dangerous conditions out here this morning. dry conditions. hot conditions yesterday. they're making sure nothing flares up after that fire yesterday. firefighters say this is going to be a very dangerous summer. it was scary for people living next to the park in south san jose. conditions were dry, windy and hot. at least 125 personnel were called out here. cal fire helped out and had full air support trying to stop the two-tier fire from spreading. firefighters are asking everyone to be extra careful during fire season. >> that's the scary part. we ask all citizens, it's hot, it's dry this summer. please be safe in all your practices. eliminate your ignition sources. the earlier you notify us if you see smoke, the better. >> reporter: by 7:15 last night the last update firefighters had the curie fire at 85% contained. it burned about 75 acres. the good new
