matt pellman is live in the "action news" traffic center with a first look. how are things looking right now? >> reporter: lets start with the acknowledgment that for a lot of people it's a huge headache. i'm going to make suggestions but for a lot of people this is a big inconvenience, and we feel for those people. no city buses are running, that is 79 different routes, if your bus is a number less than 90 it's not running or a letter designation it's not running because of the strike. the subways, broad street, and broad street spur and the market frankford line and sixest septa trolley routes are not running much the norristown high speed line and 101 and 102 trolleys, but you get to 69th street and you can't go anywhere. the regional rails are running but they are lengthy up to an hour. we are used to delays, this is not something new today but they are worse than they have been. we see half hour delays, one of the landsdowne delays. the trains are packed with people trying to avoid the halts subways and buses. use stations like north broad and university

matt pellman in the traffic center to help us navigate the mess. >> it sure has been a mess. we are in day two without our septa city buses that is 79 routes without the market and broad street subways and six of our trolleys are halted as the strike continues. people are taking to the regional rails and a less than pleasant day on them. the west hill west and fox chase lines, half hour delays on those two lines, they are toughly impacted the last couple of days. otherwise on other lines delays of around 120 minutes in spots this afternoon. and of course a lot of people that have cars are pulling them out of the garage and hitting the streets. the city streets are gridlocked one again this afternoon as we look live at senter city this is vine at broad. and yesterday we saw it spill back on to the vine street expressway and back on to the ben franklin bridge, this afternoon the westbound delay on the vine is starting towards broad street. we'll see what happens as the afternoon progresses. in northeast philadelphia this is 95 sluggish northbound by cotman in the work zone. and

as we get ready to start the ride home, matt pellman is in the traffic center with the first check. >> it's nicer than yesterday weather wise but we have traffic and transit complications including it's norristown high speed line due to the people being struck. you are running the buses instead of the trains between norristown and bryn mawr. the buses if you don't feel like taking them take the paoli regional rail line. 21 minutes behind on 541. and septa's route 15 trolley is running behind because a school bus doesn't want to run. that is causing delays on the 15 trolley. no shortage of delays here on the vine street expressway jammed in both directions with normal afternoon volume but here is good news. if you drive around crescentville, we are waiting on the adams avenue bridge to reopen and shut down since early may, we are getting word that tomorrow it will reopen. and by tomorrow afternoon's rush you should be able to travel on adams avenue. we are set for a burlington bristol bridge opening. coming up in 15 minutes for a southbound ship. head for the turnpike connecter instead

lets go live to matt pellman. >> the giving tuesday, we are giving you a real slow ride home. this is the vine street expressway where it's jammed solid coming westbound to the schuylkill expressway big red zone here due in part to a broken down vehicle earlier on the schuylkill itself westbound beyond spring garden. that is cleared out of way but a hefty delay coming westbound at 11 miles per hour. on the boulevard traffic light troubles by rising sun avenue. some confusion as the traffic lights are dark. and this is what happens when you go too fast on wet ramps, a truck jackknifed on the ram from the blue route to west conshohocken, it's a slow go. and a crash on the white horse pike a bad one by walgreens, i was going to say use the black horse but a crash there at 12th avenue. and an accident cleared out but slow in the area. we'll check it again coming up in the next half hour. >> coming up ahead at 5:00, the eagles are still reeling from last night's let down at the linc. what the team is staying about their first loss at home this season. >> and a multimillion-dollar m

matt pellman is in the traffic center. >> this doesn't go well when the roads are dry let alone when they are wet. it's not going well this afternoon. they are wet, and wet leaves too. creating slippery conditions season leading to a number of accidents, one on the schuylkill close to passyunk avenue taking out a lane and jammed solid heading westbound on the schuylkill and 26th street coming away from the platt bridge, one of many red zones this afternoon. another one is here on the schuylkill expressway and thanks in part to the broken down vehicle. westbound side of 76 just beyond the spring garden street on ramp, you see the right lane is out of commission here and everybody coming on to the vine waiting to get into the left lanes. half hour travel time is already double. and the chester county crawl is on way couple of problems this afternoon. there was a crash on the 30 bypass westbound 282, that is gone and looking at very slow speeds westbound on the bypass coming from 202, and on 202, a jackknifed truck, northbound side close to 401, and just 15 miles per hour there as you c
