a look at traffic -- matt pellman in the traffic center. >> i see you salivating over there.good afternoon from down at the shore to speeds are down for sure. as they so often are here in center city along the vine street expressway jammed up at the schuylkill at 11:00 for overnight construction by the way. another chunk of 676 by camden and atlantic avenue a crash taking out the left lane and the accident along city avenue in overbrook at wynnewood road. and we had a broken down truck at the blue route northbound off 95 heading up to baltimore pike and cleared out but jammed in the area and jammed in delco because of a pair of accident, one at newtown square by hills quality seafood and the other involves a dump truck blocking the southbound lanes of broomall. 252 is also jammed up and stay farther away, providence road or eagle road. and delaware 495 is better the construction is gone for the day, and crews will return tomorrow around 6:00 a.m. and work until noon and this point 95 is worse with speeds if the attorneys through wilmington. >> thanks matt. >>> and still ahead

over to matt pellman with an update. >> well, something for everyone here and there.n the roadway front as well. unfortunately brian and monica, here is the situation in wilmington i know our camera is a little bit garbled. southbound lanes of 95 are jams by 12th street and same situation as yesterday construction taking out the two right lanes and the good news is, they are starting to pick up their cones and clear out. the bad news is we are jammed solid on the southbound side of 495 with speeds of like 4 miles per hour. and this is putting extra traffic on 95 through wilmington and there you get 14 and the best bet is 13 through wilmington this afternoon but bear dupont highway an accident close to highway 1 and the speeds are better and that could be in the process of clearing and two bad accidents in new town square a vehicle ran into a pole at 252 but i would use 252 still instead of 320, southbound in broomall a dump truck accident by the popeyes and salad works. just 2 miles per hour there. plenty of of slowing on the schuylkill and 95 and lower gwinnett north

. >> lets go live to matt pellman in the traffic center. >> we are creeping closer to the weekend and creeping is what we are doing on 95. and phils game wrapped up a bit ago and everybody is leaving the bank and hitting the highways like 95 in south philadelphia. we are jammed in both directions by broad street. you see the southbound taillights waiting to get on the girard point double decker bridge and heading down to the airport. northbound headlights stacked up to the walt whitman bridge and a video go on the schuylkill eastbound toward the bridge and doesn't help us out that people are heading down to the shore and a crash on 42 southbound side by 130, luckily off to the side. and it is attracting some attention. meanwhile 95 in bucks county bristol township southbound side past 413 and speeds are still in the 20s there from langhorne and penndel, and construction and also an accident in wilmington on 495, it's been cursed the last few weeks. southbound side edge more road single digit speeds from claymont and stay on 95. and if you ride the paoli thorndale regional line delays

dunkin' donuts and wawa are offering free donuts today like matt pellman. >> reporter: i did not know he brought them, i did not get a donut. you watch the forecast, i'll eat these. let's take a look at storm tracker 6 live, i thought it was just me you were ignoring. you're dry in the area, we have a nice day ahead, keeping the nice weather, not lasting long, enjoy it. what a beautiful shot it is as we look live over the commodore barry bridge we see just a few clouds up above. we'll see more clouds than yesterday, a very nice day ahead. 63 degrees, the dewpoint is way down there, it feels good. the barometer is holding steady. the winds are calm not as gusty as they were yesterday afternoon. the ocean temperature, 61. we see clouds to the south moving in from the north. we'll see partly sunny skies, it will be a good one. we have a slight chance of a an isolated thunderstorm later on this afternoon. we'll watch for that in one or two spots. again a chance for showers and clouds late tonight and into tomorrow. most of the daytime it is dry for us. in fact not just today, but tomorrow

. >> let's take it live to matt pellman in our traffic center. hi, matt. >> hi. starting off a little bit rough for the ride home. we're getting word from the pennsylvania turnpike authority that there are still some restrictions on the northeast extension of the pennsylvania turnpike. northbound side, it was that nasty accident that we mentioned earlier. northbound between lansdale and quakertown that is still giving us those restrictions. couple trucks involved. so it takes some time to clean up an accident like that. at this point, i would still advise that you avoid the northbound side of 476. a lot of people are doing that by using 309. and you can see there we're in the single digits at this point. so maybe think outside the box. if you can stay over on 152 or even 611 up toward doylestown, i think you'll be better off. at this point, you still don't want to use the northeast extension. as you're detouring, there's a nasty trash crash on 113 near old morris road. emergency crews are on the scene there. construction crews on the scene of some sewer and water

let's head over to matt pellman taking a look at i-95.rter: what would a normal be without normal southbound delays on i-95. we've got them in the southbound lanes from cottman through bridge on into girard. 7 minutes behind, we've seen worse, but it's a slow go toward center city. normal slowing on the schuylkill expressway, as well. debris spill to watch out for conshohocken state road 23. there's a multi vehicle crash island avenue south at lindbergh boulevard. watch out for that. had a broken down vehicle on the northeast extension south of lansdale that's gone. down tree and wires in west pikeland chester county horse shoe trail gets you around. >> reporter: expect extra traffic for the firefly weekend as the day progresses on highway 1 and 13. >> we'll take a break and come back to accuweather. >> reporter: all right, everybody we're off to a cloudy start, comfortable in philadelphia. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing you showers in the northern and western suburbs pushing away from reading moving northwest of pilots and head

. >> lets go live to matt pellman in the traffic senter. a slow one on the blue route, past the schuylkill past villanova on down to broomall. that is where we have a broken down truck in the center lane but it's not there any more luckily. we see the southbound lanes break up. but still 47 minutes southbound delay on the blue route. at this point you may want to stick with 320 or 252 asalities nates. springfield temperature a bad crash at baltimore pike by the office depot and watching a motorcycle crash in hunting park south of the boulevard at pike street another good spot to avoid. northbound side a sluggish pace from 452 to 320 an accident there on the on ramp and traffic is barely able to squeeze by on the ramp and the main lanes are open and attracting attention. slow but we are getting back to normal on the tacony palmyra bridge. here in mount laurel a northbound accident at 73 by 295, taking out the right lane. lets grab the ipad and do the commuter report in robbinsville mercer county a crash on 195 eastbound side toward the new j

lets go live to matt pellman in the traffic center today. >> hi guys, not as much school buses on the roads these days that gives us elbow room forever the rest of us drivers but not a lot of extra elbow room this afternoon because as advertised it back construction in wilmington northbound side two left lanes blocked one getting bye bye terminal avenue. they worked tonight into today and flip is around and work on the southbound side overnight tonight. for now it's northbound where you find the major delays. just 5 miles per hour. as you come away from the split at 95. don't split off. stay on 95 in wilmington, speeds on 95 look okay and 495 is where you don't want to be. 95 in philadelphia, speeds slow 9 miles per hour on the northbound side at penn's landing. >> that is typical afternoon volume there. 19 miles per hour on the westbound side right here at city avenue. it was eastbound earlier today we had work on the schuylkill. they are getting ready for the resurfacing project this week and they are gone now so all lanes are open. in the lehigh valley. a crash on 22 eastbound mcar

matt pellman is standing by on a wednesday afternoon. >> first afternoon of summer and not being so kind to us just yet. please pardon the leaves. as we look here in bucks county. route 1 the super highway and not a laughing matter in the southbound lanes, a serious accident all lanes blocked. southbound approaching 213 maple avenue in langhorne beyond the leaves you can see the vehicle nicing the wrong way and the ambulance. no traffic is getting through on route 1, and stay on 95 southbound instead of 1 southbound and we'll keep you posted. trying to get to 95 a tough feat off the vine street expressway because of this broken down tractor trailer. right here is blocking one of the two lanes on the ramp from the eastbound vine to go north on 95 the delay spills back across town the whole way back to the schuylkill expressway. >> if you come off 76 on city avenue look for a crash at belmont by the chilis and a crash on 422 off 202, one of the two lanes is blocked. single digit speeds there. head out 23 as an alternate in that case. an accident on the pennsylvania turnpike near morgantown
