let's take it to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center. we can always bank on delays on the schuylkill expressway at this time of day and we're seeing them here in both directions, monica and sharrie, by the conshohocken curve. here are the westbound traffic is especially bad but overall the eastbound travel time is a little worse. 39 minutes to get from the blue route into the vine. ideally should be 14 but we're not close because it is the heart of the afternoon rush hour. of course it's busy on the vine street expressway just off the schuylkill in both directions and overnight closures do resume on 676 the vine at 11:00 tonight so from 11:00 to 5:00 the vine will close in both directions have a nasty clash on east bridge street at stony run road. in haverford watch out for it along eagle road near grass land avenue and just getting word of a spill in gloucester county. northbound direction of 295 past 656 we're hearing the left lane is blocked, although so far speeds don't seem to be impacted a whole lot which is a good thing. we do hav

let's go live to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center. matt. >> i am sarcastic occasionally but i'm going to give it to you straight this afternoon. this is a rotten ride home. at 4:10 on a friday afternoon in the summer time it's very business see. so many people are thinking shore thoughts this afternoon. they're on their way to cape may maybe or wherever and they're trying to cross the walt whitman bridge but first you have to sit through a delay here on 95 in part because of this northbound accident right by the off ramp for the walt whitman bridge. so that's slowing us down a little extra. if you're coming south on 95 in the great northeast it's a wet ride. a shower just rolled through here so the traffic southbound is rolling quite slowly as you enter the work zone at cottman avenue and head towards center city and while we're rolling slowly on the schuylkill expressway near both directions, it is jammed packed by mont montgomery drive. 42, 45 minutes. ideally should be 14 minutes so that's the kind of thing we're seeing this aftern

. >> let's say hi to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center. >> most importantly great food, yes. good afternoon rick and monica. if you're headed to musikfest or the poconos this afternoon we've got slowing for you on the westbound schuylkill as you pass conshohocken and head out toward 476 the blue route. there was an earlier crash on the northbound blue route approaching the mid-county tolls that got us off to a bad start this afternoon. and it's still a very bad situation on the pennsylvania turnpike westbound. you want to avoid this jammed solid from downingtown out to approaching morgantown where there's a crash in the left lane. speeds are just around 11 miles per hour. so headed west this afternoon maybe use 422, stay local on 322 or even stay down other 30 bypass but the westbound turnpike not where you want to be. have a crash along pawlings road at 23 and today route 23 nut road closed near phoenixville, that's for about a week and a half. 113 your alternate around that construction. this is 95 southbound side little sluggish by cottman. had an earlier broken down

. >> let's see what's going on with matt pelman in our "action news" traffic center. >> they're waitingo get across the walt whitman bridge into new jersey to have some fun this weekend down the shore, monica and brian, but this afternoon they are stacking up here on the ramp from 95 northbound to get to the bridge then traffic remains very heavy across the bridge into new jersey. delay continues on 42 southbound off the walt through this point at creek road on down to blackwood-clementon road. looking like a friday afternoon in the summertime with heavy shore traffic on 42 southbound. if using the betsy ross bridge instead to get into new jersey we had a crash just beyond 95 in the eastbound direction just cleared out but still kind of sluggish coming off of 95 onto the betsy. once you get farther along on the a.c. expressway eastbound about 5 miles of slowing going into the garden state parkway in lingering pesky construction there on the ramps to the southbound parkway. but once you reach the parkway and head southbound here by the great egg toll plaza, you're moving okay headed down
