meteorologist karen rogers joins us along with matt pelman. >> we are dry.e a look at the temperatures. satellite6 and action radar showing we have lots of clouds through the region and you can see those showers down to the south. we're watching for a little bit of drizzle, a shower, it's cloudy, it's cool. a better chance of organized activity later on this evening and into tonight. temperatures showing, yes, we're well below average once again. it's just 57 in allentown, 56 in reading, 57 in philadelphia, 56 in millville. even a little cooler in some of these spots than it was yesterday morning and that's saying something. the high today only 67 degrees. well below average. it is cloudy, it is cool. we're going to have a shower or a thunderstorm around thunderstorm around in a few spots. we get a bit of a change over the next couple days. we'll talk about that in that accuweather forecast coming up in just a few minutes, matt. >> all right, karen. how was that holiday weekend. >> pretty good. >> good, all right. excellent. lots of people including yourself

let's go live to matt pelman in the "action news" traffic center today. ey, matt. >> t.g.i.f. >> thank goodness it's friday. the bad news is this is one of the worst commutes we've seen in awhile and we've seen some bad commutes. already this afternoon some colossal jams rick and sharrie special here on i-95 right here on the right side. i know we need some windex on this camera lens but there's a motorcycle accident off to the side here by columbus boulevard washington avenue and as a result, a southbound parking lot the whole way from cottman on down to this point at columbus boulevard. you are barely moving in that multi mile stretch. northbound also all locked up from broad street through this point on up toward allegheny avenue. it's been a mess of an afternoon already here on 95 in this area. of course that means things are going to be extra jammed on the vine street expressway eastbound side off the schuylkill out 295 on the westbound side there's a broken down vehicle here at the end of the ben franklin bridge. ben franklin parkway on-ramp. elsewhe

time to check in traffic situation with matt pelman see what's going on on a friday night. >> maybe boatingthe best way to get home tonight. >> well, perhaps it's national bike to workday maybe a bike would be a good way to go. long rows of traffic's on the highways rick and monica, like 10 miles per hour, 15 miles per hour on the schuylkill eastbound as people steer away from the kelly drive. chunk of it does remain closed for the stotesbury regatta. that's also putting extra traffic on the mlk, west river drive t i would recommend ridge avenue over there or lancaster avenue through west philadelphia because the schuylkill and the drives are busy or closed in the case of the kelly this afternoon. watching a number of accidents as well on the big picture. there's one in fairhill along allegheny avenue at howard street by olympia restaurant. one in university city at 36th and market and plenty of slowing on 95 southbound coming down from the airport. there was a crash by the commodore barry bridge that's now gone that kind of got us off to a bad start there this afternoon. northbound side of
