i'm matt piper.nne-marie green is off on this labor day. >>> we begin with tens of thousands of people stranded at the burning man festival in nevada. heavy rain over the weekend turned the annual desert party into a survival challenge for some. the grounds turned into thick mud, making travel nearly impossible. at least one death was reported. roads were closed for safety reasons. officials hope to reopen them when conditions improve. haley ott joins us now with the latest. haley, quite a scene. >> reporter: good morning, matt. when you think of the desert, you may think of hot, dry sand. that's exactly the opposite of what people got when they attended burning man this year, wet weather turned the popular festival into a mud bath. michael and olga davidson were among thousands stuck in nevada's black rock desert over the weekend after heavy rains turned the ground at burning man into a s soup of thihick, stick mumuck. >> bicicycle can't't move anymy >> r reporter: the pair decidedo make a b break f
