superintendent matt wayne says fixing the payroll issue is one of his top priorities. that was the case when he started the job back in july. at noon. california's with student loan debt now have access to federal resources for debt relief. us senator alex padilla held a virtual briefing today with student loan holders and the california department of financial protection and innovation discussed the biden administration student debt relief plan and its impact on californians. some four million californians hold an average student loan debt of over $37,000. according to senator padilla about 92% of those borrowers are eligible for the loan forgiveness program. federal student loan borrowers who earn less than $125,000 a year. or $250,000, a year from married couples could now be eligible for up to $10,000 in federal student loan forgiveness. and if you're a pell grant recipient, you could be eligible for up to $20,000 in student loan forgiveness eligible borrowers with federal student loans can apply for relief by filling out the online application at student aid dot g
