>> matthew? >> well, yeah, there's disconnect but part of what happened with president obama and the health care reform is if 80% of people in this country who were voting and wanted health care reform had health insurance. and so what they wanted, the public statement of what they wanted was, lower health care premiums, lower costs and some expanded access. what they got was higher premiums, increased cost and there's still a question about what access available -- it's probably been expanded but for the vast majority of the country they wanted health care reform and they were delivered something different than what they wanted. people know we need social security. if you gave truth serum to all the democrats and the republicans at this conference, they would come up with a solution fairly quickly of what we need to do with social security and medicare if you gave them truth serum because everybody knows we have a problem with that. but and the country knows we have a problem. they know it's ban

his name is matthew hoffman. her mother tina herrmann, brother kody maynard and friend stephanie sprang were all missing. when police investigated the home they found blood but nobody was there. police have not revealed what led them to the home of matthew hoffman. but hoffman, who is only 30 years old has a talenty and disturbing criminal history. he is a convicted arsonist. he set fire to an apartment complex in ohio. he was sentenced eight years and court records show he only paid back $5,000 towards that debt. in the current ohio neighborhood where sarah was found, neighbors describe him as a loaner and a weirdo in their words. neighbors report he would sit in a hammock in a yard and he would stare and listen to people's conversations. today police closed and started searching a lake in fountain park. this is a public park with a lake a few blocks from hoffman homes. neighbors report hoffman walked there daily. an officer patrolling the park found clothing he thought had blood in it. it tested negative for hu

. >> wherever i think about matthew -- >> reporter: on stage tonight, students at richard montgomery high school inockville will perform the laramie project, a play about the wyoming town whe openly gay college student matthew shepard was killed more than 12 years ago. >> we just felt like the message of tolerance and acceptance, which is really what this play is advocating, is something that we thought our students needed to hear. >> reporter: but tha message is bringing a protest by the kansas-based west borough baptist church known for its demonstrations at soldiers' funerals. members say shepard was hailed as a hero but was killed by god because of his sexual orientation. we heard about this going n, and we were like, i can't believe that's happening in my neighborhood. and, you know, to me, it's just ridiculous. >> reporter: students' graduates and members of the counity have gathered outside the school to mount a counter protest and to support the students performing in the play. >> they bring a message of hate. and we ed to retaliate with ve. and reason. rather than irrational

joined by our demornt brussels and berlin, matthew price and steve evans. matthew, if i could start with you on the remarks. they do sound pretty cataclysmic, don't they? >> well, i suppose some will pick up on them and think that way. but i spoke to someone who said this isn't anything new from the president of the european council. he's voiced similar concerns in the past and other european leaders have voiced similar concerns and i think it probably would be an analysis that many in brussels would agree that the biggest threat, if you like, to the euro at the moment is the debt crisis. if the debt crisis can't be panged, then the euro could be in trouble and spell a death nell for the european union, but a spokesman points out this morning that the president to have european council uses the words again. and the finance ministers met with how to deal with the debt crisis and how to prevent it from spilling out into other european nations. so they are not the sort of words helpful at a time when they are trying to calm things down. >> certainly not helpfu
