for the first time they watched jesse matthews face charges in their own daughter's murder. it was a day of contrast as morgan harrington's parents put up ribbons refreshing the memorial on the bridge where their daughter was last seen alive. >> we still want people to notice and remember something big happened here. >> reporter: morgan stopped out of an easter and was trying to find a ride in 2009. her he remains were found on a rural farm nine miles south of charlottesville. jesse matthews was a suspect in harrington's murder after he was implicated in last year's ab just and occurred of uva student hannah graham. he was convicted in a 2005 fairfax rape case. now the harringtons say it's their turn for justice. >> i wanted him to see for all intents and purposes this is the face of justice for jesse matthews because i've known and believed for some time that he killed our morgan. >> reporter: peggy fox, wusa9. >> matthew does face the death penalty if convicted of killing hannah graham. the commonwealth attorney says there are no plans to upgrade the case to capital murder
