katty: i spoke a short while ago with matthew dowd, chief political analyst for abc news. matthew, what is the political fallout in terms of the election from all of is? >> not only has donald trump not stopped digging, he ordered heavy machinery to dig even deeper in the course of this. i think this is one of those moments -- we've seen many along the way where it hasn't had an impact on donald trump. i think this is one of those moments that will have an impact and is having an impact on donald trump. it's not so much donald trump losing support. it's the fact that donald trump needed, in the aftermath of the convention to gain. he'd only been sitting at 40% or 41% of the vote. he needed to demonstrate he could go much higher than that. i think this begins to hard cap him at a level of support that makes it very hard for him to win. he still can come out of this in three months if he performs well. but this is a moment, less than 100 days until election day, as we saw in 2008 with sarah palin in her interviews immediately after the convention, it forms in viewers' minds w
