i want to start with matthew fox. have written this open letter to the pope calling for rebuilding a church-based on compassion, a radical message. do you think you deliver that message? >> i think you delivered a terminus message with this document about justice in the world. i think it goes far beyond church reform. i like that his perspective is not just about caring for the church, but going beyond and taking on the powerful forces of the economies that we are currently dealing with that he is willing to critique the economy was strong language and connecting it to the biblical , on behalff justice of the poor. he says priority of the poor is the gospel itself. for that.him within the church itself, he still very weak when it comes to women's issues. he said, for example a few months ago, we need women theology. for 45 years, there've been women in theology. women were first ignored and then condemned. the first objection by ratzinger to my work, number one, was that i was a feminist theologian and son i called go

fox. the question here is look at the line-up. you have ed schultz, alec baldwin, chris matthews, al sharpton.a pretty left wing radical group over there. he talks about defecating and urinating in a public figure's mouth. if that's not punishable, i don't know what is. what's your reaction? >> well, sean, you and i would agree, i think, that this is further proof that conservatives are united behind the principle of free speech. personally, i love t it when these characters allow their freak flags to fly because we can make an informed decision about whether we want to be associated with these talking heads or specifically this network which turns a blind eye when it is abuse toward conservative women, that has no problems when they make abusive comments to gays and lesbians. nbc has a track record. i think conservative women should form something like women against progressive bullying or something like g.l.a.d. it seems that's what it will take. that kind of lobbying to end this harassment. >> it's funny. the liberals talk about the war on women. let's look at the recent ones. alec baldwin.
