i have confirmed with sheriff with the johnson county sheriff's office that k9 deputy matthew johnson was on i-40. he was diverting traffic for another issue with power lines down. he said that his dog pin to and the sheriff, or the deputy got back into their car and about 30 seconds later a suspected drunk driver hit them on the passenger side. he spun out of control. he was taken to a nearby to be released soon. as for that male driver, he is currently in custody. we'll bring you details about that as they become available. and johnson's dog pin to is doing just fine. take a look at this video. deputy johnson was helping with this incident before his car was hit on i-40. power lines were down holding up traffic in both directions. officials say they are not 100% sure what caused those power lines to go down but ice has been a big problem. we actually spoke with a couple of friends out in this traffic and said they were trying to get to the canes game. >> i don't want to get a reckless driving ticket by turning around on the highway so i think we're sticking it out but i think we'll
