steve matthias from central station. i'd like to start off by saying i'm not going to respond to the demeaning accusations. we are here for a review of the conditions that were imposed on hue back in march -- or in may. i'm going to talk about what's happened since that point, and i have -- you've got some cads, a report, and we also have some video. luckily, at least for the police department, we have other video in here, but in general, i think in the past when mr. montoya has been able to come up here and show his video with the scope of right out in front, as you saw in the last hearing in march, or in may, there's quite a bit happening outside of those angles, and you saw with your own eyes that the customers, patrons from hue, are involved in that. i'm not going to rehash all that from st. patrick's day. tonight i'm going to talk about what's happened since then. there's been one incident. we've had some cads and a report. i've got some video. i would like you to see it. this is regarding an incident from 5/7 at ap

i asked officer matthias that. i think we talked about -- i think the last time we talked about corporate events as well and being able to sell out his space for events. those would probably be -- you know, wednesday-thursday or just during the week. i know some would like to have them on weekends, too, but i don't feel most comfortable lifting the time or adding more time on fridays or saturdays, so i would be open to maybe going to 1:00 a.m. on a wednesday and thursday and kind of testing that out. you know, unfortunately, i think we can't be -- or fortunately, i think we should be incremental about this because there's kind of like a spark plug going on broadway -- [inaudible] >> -- as we've had for the last six months. so that's where i stand. i can turn that into a motion if the chair would like or someone else might want to say something. >> can i just reflect on what you said? >> please. >> yeah, i agree with you. i think for this -- if i was in that decision, i would want to do an internal investigation on

steve matthias from central station. central station recommends approval of the permit. we are asking for the two conditions that we just spoke about. the first one being the leads training. one of public safety's largest challenges inlife -- working with night life is when people are overserved. anyone that's working with the patrons, to get them the leads training, that's going to give them the confidence and education, to let them know when somebody should start coasting, serve them water. i think it would be helpful to give the employees, give them the confidence to be able to cut people off if needed. the second one is the speaker being removed. i looked under the c.a.d.s since july 6. i'm not going to blame the new owner for the four previous noise complaint. they've got nothing to do with that. but two of the four complaints were regarding the outside speaker. i thought if we could take that off the table, that cuts it in half already. i've got photos outside if you want to see it, but the applicant doesn't seem to have an issue, and that they would be okay with r
