commissioner maufas: is it keith? and i think you very much for presenting. -- thank you very much for presenting. thank you for sharing that you were looking through the summer for employment and found employment through this but also participated in helping make it come about. you can speak first him to -- firsthand to what the program needs. i am sure you have many friends who have needs as well. that is something i experienced. my daughter is around that age. i hear from people beyond the age of 18 and there are not a plethora of programs of summer employment for young people who have not finished college, who are still in school, who are trying to live on their round or with friends, or are still with family, and being a contributor. i hope this program can figure out how to nuance itself, after you do the evaluation and see how it runs, on how to incorporate young people who you may not know are undocumented. they may be your friends, but that is something in your background that exists. you may know many folks.

commissioner maufas: i agree with commissioner fewer. i hope we have this dialogue sooner rather than later so the executive staff can work with our recommendation and what we have come to consensus about, so you are not waiting until the last minute and then having to do with other information coming from the state. you can figure out how to work with what we recommend and then work that into a bigger discussion. i want to again support what commissioner fewer is recommending. the investment helps us in other areas, the investment around summer school and the possibility of saturday school, and the credit recovery helps ninth and 10th graders passed the test. building them up in that way helps in other areas where we are doing makeup work when they do not pass. how do we down continue to support those more senior students before they graduate, where it becomes urgent and they have to attend summer school in a different way? that is an assessment which can make that will benefit as in other areas. the same thing regarding the current eng

commissioner murase:-- commissioner maufas: in reading the report, i found it everything i had heard from me-- the pac in board meetings and offline. i appreciate that you were able to memorialize it in a report to us. it is an interesting but concise summary of the year. if anybody wanted to understand the pac and get the level of how important you are to us, i think they could see it in this one report. it is incredible. i just do not think the public understands the commitment to the volunteering and being able to be the buffer of some of that heat that i witnessed at those meetings, the community conversations. i am really in off of the graciousness of pac members in not engaging in the anger, but really taking that information in and of passing it on to the board. i am grateful for that. that really does speak to the years of buildup and trial and error and how you have been able to find your footing and move well within the district. i want to thank you all for that. i also want to talk about the bit of push back that happened. i think it is great. i also felt empowered enough
