maureen umeh has the details. >> reporter: police want you to see the video. witnesses say it was two men that got on the bus on alabama avenue just after midnight on thursday and one of them shot demetrius thomas leaving him for dead. the video shows someone pointed to someone and moments later dimitri collapsed and he was shot in the face and stomach and later died at the hospital. his family said he was heading home for his fiancee's house. his mother said he was a family man, dedicated to his 3-year- old daughter and 2-year-old son. thompson was a 2008 academy of thurgood marshall academy and even though he was unemployed he had gotten his commercial drivers license and spent much of his time looking for work. her son was said to have no enemies and the crime is not only senseless but baffling. >> i want people to know my baby was a good boy. he was good. he wasn't out there causing no trouble, he ain't bothered nobody. he was doing the things he needed to do that was necessary for him and his family. >> if you lose a child in that kind of way, you don't e
