kron-4's maureen kelly found out more about who lived in a house. which police recently searched for clues. >> reporter: we have just learned of a primary person of interest. we just ran a background check on the person of interest in the kevin collins case. as we said dan therrien, who went by the name kelly. died he wore his blond hair, shoulder linkage to the last person the scene shoulder- length. in 2008 - and he lived in the house where investigators dug up bones on tuesday. the san francisco police department showed up with pictures of the tenants. he died in 2008 but they still say that dan therrian is a person of interest his partner, does not believe to be a person of interest. the landlord did not want to go on camera but he is shocked to hear that his former roommate crude be involved. >> we justl had background chstand as imagine, he died in 2008 in the live in the house the statethe state and nationwide criminal checks came back clean. no court records either for dan therrien. we did get three addresses for him - all in san francisco.

ktvu's maureen naylor is live there now with what police told you about this killing minutes ago. >> reporter: we want to show you what is happening. i am in front of the crime scene. this happened on 24th and julian. they moved us back several blocks. they believe what happened a young male, around 14, passed away after being stabbed. there was an altercation. i want to show you over here this man just in the last 5 minutes ran through the line saying that was his brother. it has been a very emotional day out there, details are still coming in. that young man was stand once. police are canvassing the area for a weapon. for those not familiar with the area, we are in front of san jose high school. we know the altercation broke ought around this area -- broke out around this area around 3:00 p.m. news chopper 2 is over head. police shut down several blocks as they continue to do this investigation. at this point there is no motive, they are still investigating. we asked if the victim could have been a gang member, they told us they are investigating that but that can't be confirmed at
