maureen kelly has more from the north bay. check out the heavy fog that shrods the three car collision. the chp says just after 8am a southbound driver of a volkswagon gti.which sent that car across northbound lanes smashing into a honda civic. it's unclear at this time which driver involved in the initial collision crossed over into oncoming lanes. the collision sent debris across lanes in both the morning commute was massive. here you can see the gridlock on the northbound lanes.all of which was closed for nearly an hour. and while you can see some cars getting thru on the southbound side in this video those lanes were also completely closed several times in order to tow trucks access to the scene. cars stalled out.during the wait, which prolonged the congestion. the backup made many driversbites all three drivers suffered >> "i'd say about 30 or 40 feet" and all forty feet of this huge acacia tree came crashing down over the weekend during the recent stormlanding on top of this ()sot)á "we arrived on the house" >> amazingly

. >> kron4's maureen kelly was in san francisco where the heavy morning rain created a lot of problemsed long after the skies cleared. what you are looking at is a crew from the city's department of public works trying to use a rake to clear one the dozens of backed up stormed drains left over from the hard hitting storm system. this one created a mini lagoon to spring up at the corner of van ness and hayes....taking over a few lanes of the street...making it tough for drivers....the high water also covered the sidewalk....forcing pedestrians to treadnats bit those getting around on the shuttle buses because the church and van ness stations were closed with yellowthis is a still picture taken underground at the church street stop....which got four feet of water over the tracks....some ridersbite service was restored at around 1pm once crews finished clearing the tracks highway.....made an impromptu obstacle course for bikers and beach goers....and kept cars out which were closed from splintered tree branches were another common sight today..this massive ficus engulfing a parking meter.

kron4's maureen kelly shows us the problem and what's >> this is a still picture that shows the river of rainwater that came rushing down the steps of the clarke swim center after a pair of storm drains backed up sunday. it flooded the outside area of the facility.and blackened the three pools with dirt and debris. since then the staff has been busy cleaning sucking up the gunk on the bottom of the poolwith the help of a high powered vacumn.and changing the filters --a lot. check out how dirty this one issee how much mud is caked at the bottom? they tell me eariler in the week the whole filter would look that that from top to bottom. after four days of cleaning 10 to 12 hours a day you can see the water is looking a lot cleaner. but they don't think they'll be able to re open until sometime next week. if you are wondering why they didn't just drain all of the waterwell.it turns out that could have been even a longer process. they could have drained the pool.but that could have taken even longer.there is close to 900-thousand gallons of water in these pools.it takes two to three days j
