. >> reporter: ...two people had ..ready been shot: 69-year-old maurice stallard, and 67-year- old vickie jones. one eyewitness said the alleged gunman, gregory allen bush, told a shopper, who pleaded for his life, "i won't shoot you. whites don't shoot whites." today, a federal prosecutor said the shooting is now being possstigated as a possible hate crime. police say they have surveillance video of bush epearing to try to gain entry into a predominantly black church just minutes before the grocery store shooting. that idea stoking fears that he may have tried to carry out a shooting like in the one in charleston, south carolina in 2015 that left nine people dead. bush had a criminal history including domestic violence. in a police report, his ex-wife alleged that bush used racial slurs with her and was diagnosed paranoid and put on medication. federal investigators are working with local law enforcement officials to determine how bush will be tried in court. jeff, the suspect has previously posted racially-charged comments on his facebook page. he also mentioned there that he ere ered f
